I start by looking at the room or exterior as a whole. The approach to an entrance, the light falling across a wall, and the amount of time people spend beside it all affect the composition. In a retail setting, I want the art to have its own identity while respecting the surrounding displays. In a home or studio, I can build a more specific visual narrative around the person using the space.

There are two ways to approach a commission: a signature ABCNT statement wall, drawing on the bold cinematic language of the Associates universe, or custom artwork shaped around your commercial or residential brief. Both involve direct conversation with me about scale, imagery, and color. Two revision rounds are part of the design process, helping move from a promising idea to a composition that belongs on your wall.

For a Ventura project, start with a full-wall photograph and a short description of what you want the artwork to do for the space. If the wall is outside, include a wider view showing the ground and access around it.
